Recently, Professor Thomas Olofsson from Uuuo University, Professor Li Angui from Xi 'an University of Architecture and Technology and Associate Professor Zhang Ying from Xi 'an University of Architecture and Technology visited Shandong Jianzhu University. Deputy Party Secretary and President Yu Dehu  met with Professor Thomas Olofsson and his delegation, and Member of Party Committee and Vice President Qiu Liping attended the meeting.

Yudehu warmly welcomed Professor Olofsson, introduced the university's development history and disciplinary characteristics, and hoped to take this visit as an opportunity to further develop international scientific research cooperation. Professor Olofsson expressed his gratitude to the university for its warm reception and believed that the two sides could carry out joint talent training and scientific research cooperation in the fields of urban environment, building energy efficiency management and low-carbon energy utilization. On behalf of the university, Yu Dehu awarded Professor Olofsson the appointment letter of Visiting Professor of Shandong Jianzhu University.

Subsequently, Professor Olofsson and his delegation held a discussion with representatives of the School of Thermal Energy Engineering, conducted in-depth discussions on the initiation of international academic conferences and the construction of international scientific research platforms, and initially reached a cooperation intention. After the symposium, Professor Olofsson and his delegation visited the passive ultra-low energy teaching experiment complex building of Shandong Jianzhu University, and spoke highly of the achievements made by our school in the field of low energy buildings.

Professor Thomas Olofsson is the Dean of the School of Engineering Physics and Electronics at Umea University, Sweden. He has published more than 200 academic papers focusing on the field of energy use in buildings, and has made outstanding contributions to improving energy utilization performance, building energy efficiency, and improving building comfort.
