Yu Dehu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Shandong Jianzhu University, Attends Sino-Foreign University Presidents' Confucius Culture Forum and Delivers Keynote Speech
On November 5, the "Sino-Foreign University Presidents' Confucius Culture Event – Jointly Discussing Educational Reform and Humanistic Value Reconstruction in the AI Era", co-initiated by multiple universities at home and abroad, was grandly held in Qufu City, Jining City, Shandong Province – the hometown of Confucius. Yu Dehu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Shandong Jianzhu University, attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech.
At the event, Yu Dehu delivered a speech themed "Reflections on University Education in the AI Era". He conducted an in-depth analysis of how AI technology reshapes the educational ecosystem, pointing out the opportunities and challenges it brings. He shared the university's experiences and practices in responding to the new situation, such as launching an intelligent education large model platform, promoting curriculum intelligence, and building an intelligent academic steward. He emphasized that universities should proactively seek changes and dare to innovate, explore new paths in balancing technology and humanity, continuously optimize educational models and improve educational quality, so as to cultivate more high-quality talents with international perspectives, innovative spirits and practical abilities for the country and society.
With the theme of "Inheritance, Integration and Innovation", this event gathered university presidents and experts and scholars from Germany, Singapore, Serbia and various regions in China. They conducted in-depth dialogues around topics such as educational transformation in the era of artificial intelligence, cross-cultural cooperation, and inheritance of humanistic spirit, exploring the sustainable development path of higher education under the dual waves of globalization and digitalization.
