On September 15th, the School of International Education organized the “First Class” activity for more than 30 international students in China in the Boxue Conference Room (TS202). The aim is to welcome these new international students, do theentranceeducationwell, enhance their legal awareness, and ensure their safe and comfortable life and study experience in China. To take a good “First Class”, the School of International Education specially invited theExit-Entry Administration DivisionofSecurity Brigade fromLicheng Public Security Bureau to carry out legal publicity and anti-fraud publicity. The lecture was presided over by Li Xiao, Director of the International Exchangesand Cooperation Office and the School of International Education. All international students participated in the lecture.

Director Li Xiao firstly welcomed the 2021 international freshmen, and expressed his heartfelt thanks to the police officers from the Exit-EntryAdministration Divisionof Licheng Public Security Bureau. Li Xiao briefly introduced the development of international students in our school. It is hoped that through this legal lecture, students can understand the laws and regulations of foreigners in China, abide by the laws and regulations, and complete their studies in Shandong Jianzhu University. Afterwards, the police officer Zhang Yuan gave a lecture titled “Advocating Disciplinary Compliance and Building a Harmonious Campus”, covering aspects such as student accommodation, passport storage and replacement procedures, visas, employment, religion, drug prohibition, and traffic regulations.Thendeputy chief Dong Jing made an anti-fraud propaganda on the frequent online fraud, reminding international students to protect their property safety to prevent being deceived.

After the meeting, the international students said that they benefited a lot from the lecture. Through vivid cases, they had a deeper understanding of China's policies and regulations, enhanced their awareness of self-protection and law-abiding, and would avoid illegal acts.

International students' safety education and education of laws and regulations are important parts of the entrance education for international freshmen. It is conducive to promoting their compliance with our laws and regulations, ensuring their safe and smooth study life, and creating a harmonious, warm, stable and orderly campus environment.
