From April 15 to 17, the third edition of the Salamanca Tech Summit 2026 was held in Salamanca, Spain. Associate Professor Liu Yi of Shandong Jianzhu University was invited to attend the summit. On behalf of the university, he engaged in in-depth exchanges with the University of Salamanca and global leaders in science and innovation, further strengthening international cooperation and academic connectivity between the two universities.
01 Summit Snapshot: A Benchmark for Spanish Science and Innovation – Three Years of Growth
The Salamanca Tech Summit, co-organized by the University of Salamanca, the Salamanca City Council, and the AIR Institute, has become a highly influential science and innovation event in Spain and across Europe.
2024 (Inaugural Edition): 60+ speakers, 30+ sessions, 800+ participants – a strong debut.
2025 (Second Edition): 80+ international speakers, 30+ thematic tracks, 1,000+ registered attendees – doubling in scale.
2026 (Third Edition): Under the theme "Innovación que construye futuro" (Innovation That Builds the Future), the summit focused on cutting-edge fields such as AI, cybersecurity, biotechnology, digital health, and fintech, bringing together global scholars, industry leaders, and investors to create a premier platform for science and innovation collaboration.

02 Scholar Attendance: A New Step Forward in International Cooperation
Liu Yi is an Associate Professor at the School of Computer and Artificial Intelligence of Shandong Jianzhu University and a faculty member of the Salamanca School. He has long been engaged in cutting-edge research in machine vision, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, with a focus on AI and interdisciplinary integration in science and innovation. He has accumulated substantial academic achievements and practical experience in his relevant research fields.
During the summit, Associate Professor Liu Yi actively participated in keynote sessions, panel forums, and technical exchange activities, engaging with industry peers and academic experts to explore frontier topics and share ideas. On behalf of the university, he presented cultural gifts to the Rector of the University of Salamanca and the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, using culture as a bond to convey the friendly ties between the two universities, further consolidating a solid foundation for inter-university collaboration.
