Delegation from QUT visited our school
On March 26th, a delegation from the Queensland University of Technology visited our school. Members of the delegation include Ms. Jacqueline Yuan, general manager of the international division of the Queensland University of Technology in China district, and Mr. BenBawden , International Relations and Development director of the Creative Industries school. Chen Baoming, director of International Exchange and Cooperation department of our school presided over the symposium, and the relevant leaders and key teachers of the International Exchange and Cooperation department and the Institute of Architectural and Urban Planning attended the conference.
In the beginning, Chen Baoming welcomed the delegation's visit and introduced to the foreign guests the general situation of our school and the international exchange and cooperation. Tong hui, dean of the Institute of Architectural and Urban Planning introduced to the foreign guests the general situation of the professional description, teaching faculty and scientific research achievements. Our school and the Queensland University of Technology have a history of cooperation for many years. The two sides have signed a mutual recognition agreement for credits in architecture and landscape architecture. During the official visit of the delegation from the Queensland University of Technology to our school, the two sides are looking forward to further cooperation in the major of architecture and landscape architecture and the development of cooperative education programs. On the basis of preliminary communication, the two sides exchanged views on the specific details of cooperative education, and initially reached a consensus on the cooperation in the construction of undergraduate education program. The two sides expressed the hope to further deepen exchanges and cooperation in academic exchanges, exchange visits between teachers and students, teaching and research on the basis of the existing cooperation.
After the meeting, the guests communicated with the student representatives of the Institute of Architectural and Urban Planning. They introduced the educational situation and professional features to students of the Queensland University of Technology, and conducted in-depth communication with students in scholarship application, language learning, career development and life. The Australian side sincerely invites our school students to study in Australia. After the meeting, the guests visited the teaching and research facilities such as the teaching experiment comprehensive passive room and the teaching achievements exhibition of the Institute of Architectural and Urban Planning.
