On March 27, Victoria University delegation in Australia had a visit to our school. Both Rhys Williams , the Victoria University International Cooperation Department director and China project manager George Yue in this delegation. The responsible leader of the International Exchange Cooperation Department and the Business School attended the conference. The meeting was presided over by Chen Baoming, the head of International Exchange and Cooperation Department.
During the visit, both sides in the cooperation exchanged views on the progress of the current cooperative school-running projects by discussing the problems existing in the project. The possible future cooperation of undergraduate and graduate level and teacher exchanges were also discussed deeply. Furthermore, the two sides conducted exchanges on the integration of Chinese and western teaching methods and classroom teaching forms . According to the project situation, Victoria University will send more teachers to our school through the thematic reports, seminars, classroom demonstrations and other forms to benefit students of different levels, such as undergraduates and postgraduates.
In the afternoon, Victoria university delegation had face-to-face communication with students and parents of the sino-australian cooperative education program. Rhys Williams introduced the importance of bilingual culture and international vision, and George Yue introduced the Victoria college life, the details of learning and answered questions from students and parents.
Our school began to cooperate with the Victoria university in 2006. Over the past decade, the program has enrolled 13 period students and cultivated a large number of outstanding students to go abroad for further study. In addition, a number of students successfully applied for master's degrees from world-renowned universities such as the University of Sydney, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology ,the University of Queensland and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The two sides have jointly trained a number of teachers with an international perspective and carried out extensive cooperation in teaching, research and other fields.
