Alumni are a reflection of the education brand and high reputation of Shandong Jianzhu University.

The Board of Directors of the University plays an important role in open education and long-term development of the University.

Since founded 56 years ago, the University has nurtured hundreds of thousands of graduate students excelling all over Shandong Province and China, many of whom have become outstanding leaders in all walks of life. Alumni of Shandong Jianzhu University are always grateful and proud of their alma mater and are willing to spare no efforts to promote its construction and development. To strengthen contact among alumni, an alumni association was set up in 1996 as approved by Department of Civil Affairs of Shandong Province, aiming at jointly promoting the development of the University. This is relatively early compared with other higher learning schools in Shandong Province. Through development for over two decades, alumni associations have by now extended to over 17 cities of Shandong Province and some coastal provinces and municipalities such as Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangdong and Fujian. As of the year of 2012 when the North American Alumni Association was established in Calgary, Canada, there were a total of 25 alumni associations. Thus, a basic alumni network rooted in Shandong Province, radiating across China and involving alumni both at home and abroad has been formed.

The School attaches great importance to the roles of enterprises and social friends in the construction industry in promoting its construction and development. In the year 1994, thanks to the support of Shandong Provincial Construction Committee, the first Board of Directors was set up, consisting of construction committees and enterprises from all municipalities of Shandong Province. In 2011, a new Board of Directors was elected comprising more than 120 companies. At its head is the Secretariat, under which, Foundation Management Commission, Education Commission, Science and Technology Commission, Practice and Employment Commission and Secretariat Office are included.

The Party Committee and administrators of the University have always placed a high priority to alumni associations and the Board of Directors. Under the working principles of "propaganda, serve and win-win", they have made every endeavor in optimizing the mechanism, network and resources, promoting co-development of alumni associations and Board of Directors and the University, and seeking more extensive support for the further construction and development of the School.

We believe that, with the care and support of all alumni associations and the Board of Directors, and as long as all faculties and students of Shandong Jianzhu University unite and work together, the goal of molding Shandong Jianzhu University into a research and teaching oriented institution will be attained sooner.
